The past three days have been unseasonably warm. It inspired me to do a spring fashion post. Most of you probably know what I mean when I say, “nautical,” but if you don’t it’s a type of fashion that is inspired by being on the water. For instance, since I live by a river this is a nautical look you might see me wear on a boat (without the heels of course).
I love different hues of a deep blue. This color is key when it comes to styling a nautical themed look. Stripes, polka dots and of course anchors all work wonderfully to pull a nautical look together. Different shades of red work really well too.

This striped scarf is a silk, light-weight piece to add more pattern to the look. **Warning** This does not provide warmth, trust me! (lol) I loved the way it was blowing in the wind to show the bold stripes and beautiful hue.

I’m not afraid to add patterns on top of patterns, so I paired these beautiful earrings from Permanent Baggage, which I found at Wit & Whimzy. You’ve probably seen me wear the necklaces below that are also from Wit & Whimzy. I love representing the “740” stamped necklace for so many obvious reasons. I lived in Columbus, Ohio for 5 years so I was excited to learn that we had access to Red Giraffe Designs here locally!

Here you can see my oh so famous leopard accent 🙂 I also love any reason to sport my lynne&lucille bullet necklace from my husband. I may love fashion but I know how to hang with the boys too when it comes to shooting 😉 Feel free to share your favorite nautical look with me 🙂

If you haven’t noticed already, I decided to include the new fringe denim trend into this look for fun. I had two pair of white denim and I decided to cut them at the bottom myself to see how I liked them. Well, I LOVE them! I’m not surprised I do since I love any type of fringe or tassel detail. Get brave and try a new style yourself. Rip up some old denim and get crazy! ❤
Your Faithful Dreamer,
Courtney
