Greetings and happy holidays from me to you! With this time of year some of you may have multiple occasions to get all dolled-up. When I think of holiday attire, I instinctually am drawn to sequins. The problem with sequins is that not everyone feels comfortable when it comes to accessorizing with something that is already eye-catching. So here are just a few ways to style one of my sequin dresses.
This first look I paired with my patch faux-fur jacket to add some warm tones to the look. Many of you may think to just wear black with red , which I love but I really adore adding warmth to looks. I also brought the warm tones down to my shoes in order to disperse the tones evenly.
The next few looks will now be tied in with black textures. Here, I am wearing my black faux-fur vest and then my black booties. I love the drama black brings to this look and how cozy it feels when wearing it. This is a good accessory to keep you warm especially with a one-sleeved dress like this.
Now, if you’ve been following my blog for a while you know I can never resist pairing a faux-leather jacket with just about ANYTHING. I also love hats and pairing the two looks together to create a fun look.
Not a hat person? That’s okay because this look still remains fashionable without a hat.
I have the privilege of knowing some really talented make-up artists because of my friends at the Hot Tomato Studio. For this post I partnered with Abigail Gedon of PWDR Beaute who is a fellow Hot Tomato gal herself. She and I went over what type of look we felt was appropriate and slightly different than what I usually do. I let her take the reigns on this since she’s the expert. My typical look is a cat-eye with a red lip so she switched up a few things to make it a little different yet staying true to myself. I loved the outcome and found it to be perfect for a fancy shmancy party. A little glitter never hurt anyone 😉 Make sure and check out her page on instagram and facebook @PWDRBeaute if you’re looking for a make-up artist.
A huge thank you to Abigail Gedon for utilizing her make-up craft and also The Betsy Mills Club for allowing me to use their beautiful, historic parlor for this shoot.
Your Faithful Dreamer,
