Wow! It has been quite some time since my last blog post!  It’s been a crazy time during this pandemic, right?  Long story short, the family and I moved right smack dab in the middle of it back in March to the Columbus, OH area.  With that being said, THANK YOU for your patience with me.  I thought I would bring some color into your world today since it seems like most of the world is a little gray right now.

When you’re getting dressed do you struggle with creating an aesthetic? For example, you have this killer dress you’ve been dying to wear for a special occasion.  You put the dress on and instantly get nervous or lock-up when it comes to doing your make-up? I’m not a professional in make-up application but I do know how to disperse color and create a story with my look.  I suggest looking for inspiration on social media for the style of make-up you’re comfortable with.  Below is an image I found that excited me to look at the beautiful colors.  Here is my side-by-side comparison.

How do I style a look to go with such a bold color combo?  I start simple and pick a neutral color for the base of my outfit.  Next, I bring in a color that is being represented in my make-up, like this tangerine shoe. If you follow me on social media you can find my Virtual Style Therapy Session video that I post every Thursday (find it here) to see two other bonus tips.  Once you get comfortable with color you can keep experimenting by adding in print, pairing unlikely bold colors together or by switching things up with your make-up.
