Hi! My name is Courtney and I’m so excited that you’ve taken the time to peruse my blog. As you may have read, I’m passionate about pursuing my dreams in life and sharing my journey with others in hopes to inspire someone….anyone! I am a 37-year old mother and wife to some pretty amazing humans.
I am the youngest of three daughters in my family and was always inspired by my sisters growing up. They always wore the “fun fashions” and I loved watching them get ready. My sisters are 11 months apart but I’m 7 and 8 years younger than them. I’m sure you can imagine how much I pestered them by trying on their clothing when they weren’t home. I have parents that have so many talents and they don’t even realize it. I believe that is where most of my passions came from; watching them create beautiful things. My dad is a multi-talented artist and singer. He builds pallet furniture and paints with many different mediums. My mom is one of the most beautiful women I know and she has such a talent when it comes to sewing and any other “crafty” projects or decorating. She has a big heart and prays more than anyone I know. I love both of my parents so much and although they divorced when I was 15-years old, I never felt cheated out of spending time with them. Life hasn’t been perfect, but isn’t that the beautiful parts of life? Every situation creates a new version of yourself; a new chapter in your journey. That’s pretty awesome.
I was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Parkersburg, West Virginia when I was 23-years old to finish college at Ohio Valley University. I graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Psychology and met my husband through mutual friends during that time. We quickly fell in love and married in October of 2008 and lived in Marietta, Ohio.
After we both graduated school we decided to move to Columbus, Ohio where we both worked while I went after the first phase of my many dreams; getting my master’s degree. I attended The Academy of Art University and received my M.F.A. in Fashion Merchandising. During my last semester Marc and I welcomed our little lady, Harper Simone. Two years later we decided to move back to where we fell in love; Marietta, Ohio. Life has been crazy and exciting but I can’t imagine it any other way.
I hope you continue to follow me on this journey to discover all the different shapes and sizes of my dreams.
Your Faithful Dreamer,
